At Atlantic, we recognise that the social change we seek is brought about by the good work of our grantees and not by us. Our task is to support our grantees so they can sustain and improve their operations, participate in public policy debates, and – if appropriate – seek changes in the allocation of public resources.

Our international grantee network consists of hundreds of qualified non-profits, universities, government agencies and foundations, each of which has been selected for funding as a result of its expertise, experience and capabilities in one or more of our programme areas.

In selecting organisations for funding we look for fit with our strategic objectives, strong organisational leadership, evidence of success to-date, financial strength, and the capacity to implement projects and evaluate their success.

We also seek to maximise the impact of our grantees’ work by attracting additional funds into our chosen fields, conducting rigorous evaluations, disseminating our knowledge and experience and that of our grantees, and contributing to public policy development and changes in the allocation of public resources.

In this section you will find information about our grantmaking process and grantees.
